Your Role Will Involve:

Working in an Agile environment, you will manage teams of engineers working on greenfield products within e-commerce and fulfilment. The working model will be hybrid with a base in Dublin and teams located in Ireland, Spain and Eastern Europe.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the design and build of our platform using the latest technology advancements and methodologies. As well as managing the teams, you will also collaborate with Solution Architects and Product Managers to deliver enterprise solutions to our clients.

A strong work ethic with a can-do attitude is expected, alongside a culture of friendly collaboration and teamwork. You will encourage continuous improvement and high performing teams. You will care about KPIs and monitor individual and team performance.

You will be experienced with the Software development Lifecycle and how it applies to CI/CD using Domain Driven Design and Test Driven Development techniques. You will have a keen interest in doing things the right way and for taking on new challenges.

Requirements:

–  Manage 2 Software Engineering Teams, each consisting of 5-6 developers (Mix of Backend and Frontend development).

–  Work with Product and Architecture to define the Product Roadmap and Technical Designs to enable implementation of reliable, performant & scalable solutions.

–  Ensure good quality code, with high levels of code coverage, that follows best DDD principles.

–  Provide Technical learning paths for your reports and ensure they adopt best practices when working with underlying technologies.

–  Ensure good collaboration amongst teams and know when to mentor/provide guidance without reverting to micro management.

–  Actively contribute to development and the code review process.

–  Monitor Production systems and promote a sense of ownership within your teams.
